My mother passed in July of 2019 of stage 4 colon cancer which went undetected for 10 years. In her last 15 months of life, she lived with me. Her loss was devastating. I created Transcendence, 2019 for her one week after she passed.

Transcendence would become the first of many more images, which have all become pieces of a larger body of work called “After Mom.”

The series is printed on metal paper and mounted into acrylic.
